“Roxy is playful, and Piper is protective.”
Roxy and Piper travelled across the world from Sydney to Dublin with Petraveller. Roisin talks about her adorable pets and their international pet travel experience with Petraveller.
Staffy x Terrier Roxy has been Roisin’s family pet since Roxy was ten weeks old. Roisin says fondly, “Roxy has never known anything but a stable home and lots of love. She is super playful, cheeky and loves dogs and people. She is easy-going and knows basic commands. We’ve spoiled her!”
German Short Haired Pointer x Great Dane, Piper joined Roisin’s family when Piper was six months old. Roisin shares, “Piper was rescued from death row, and we adopted her. She didn’t have a great start in life and was passed several times from homes to the pound. She was supposed to be a hunting dog but was gun-shy. Then she was supposed to be a guard dog but was too friendly.”
Roisin continues, “Piper is not too keen on dogs, except Roxy, but loves people. She is protective of Roxy and is quite anxious when they are apart. She is super affectionate and loves human touch almost all of the time! Piper eats every meal as if it is her last, which we assume is from the days before we had her. Perhaps she wasn’t sure when she would be fed next.”
Roisin was moving with her adorable pets, Roxy and Piper, back to her home in Dublin. She says, “I am from Ireland, and my family is there. We have a house in Dublin where we will live without the drama of dealing with rentals and real estate agents like here in Sydney!”
Transporting pets from one country to another is a long-drawn and time-consuming process. Therefore, Roisin decided to get help from a pet relocation agency that helps transport pets globally. During her search for the right pet travel agent, Roisin came across several pet relocation companies in Australia. Roisin says, “I read reviews for many different travel companies and liked what I read for Petraveller. When I spoke with Petraveller, I felt reassured that my dogs are in safe hands.”
Roxy and Piper made their journey to Dublin in great spirits and are well-settled in their new home. Thank you, Roisin, for showing confidence in Petraveller. We wish you good luck and hope Roxy and Piper are loving the great outdoors of Ireland!
