Thomasina and Cassandra

Gorgeous Domestic Medium Hair Thomasina travelled from Canberra to her new home in Manchester with Petraveller. Pet mum Cassandra talks about her kitty fondly and tells us what led her to Petraveller for Thomasina’s international pet travel.

Cassandra adopted Thomasina from a street cat charity and brought her home to her family. Cassandra shares, “Initially, Thomasina was very timid and used to hide all the time. Now she follows us around the house and is a well-loved family member. She likes to play fetch and play with toys with feathers.”

Cassandra talks about her pet affectionately. She says with a smile, “Thomasina is very gentle and loyal to us. She is an indoor cat. She loves having her cheeks or under her chin stroked. She seeks us out and nudges us for affection; she won’t sit on people’s laps but will sit next to us.” 

Cassandra adds, “Thomasina is very tolerant of our six-year-old daughter, who picks her up and carries her around. She has never bitten or scratched any of us, but when we took her for her latest vaccination, she was frightened to go in the carrier. Thomasina gets startled by loud noises and hides from visitors. Recently, she freaked out a little when she saw a dog out the window.”

Thomasina is quite chatty and has different miaows. She miaows for food in the mornings. Cassandra laughs and adds, “Thomasina likes to be petted a lot and reaches up with her paws if she wants us to give her attention or play with her. She likes it when we talk to her and stroke her. Thomasina sleeps at the bottom of our bed, and other times she sleeps in a little cat cave. We tried to introduce her to a harness for outdoor time, but she runs back inside the house.”

Cassandra and her family were moving to Manchester. She says, “One of the best things we did this year was getting Thomasina, so I could not think about leaving her behind as she is a member of our family now.”

Cassandra decided to use the services of an accredited international pet transport agency to move her pet safely to the United Kingdom.
