Toothless, Honey, Ziggy and Sarah

Cairns to Manchester

Trip Overview

Owner: Sarah Ingram

Origin: Cairns

Pet Name: Toothless, Honey and Ziggy

Destination: Manchester

Breed: Domestic Shorthair x3

“Petraveller answered my questions swiftly, and I felt confident in their services.”

Sarah travelled with three Domestic Shorthair kitties, Toothless, Honey and Ziggy, from Cairns to Manchester with Petraveller. She talks about her pets’ heart-warming personalities and explains why she partnered with Petraveller for their international pet travel to Manchester.

Toothless was a rescue kitten from the RSPCA before he joined the Ingram family. Sarah smiles as she recalls, “We intended to foster Toothless, but we fell in love with his funny personality. We named him Toothless after Toothless from “How to Train your Dragon” and we thought he looked like the dragon if you put his ears down.”

Sarah adores her cheeky cat. She laughs and says, “Toothless is a real character at home. Although he’s an adult cat, his personality is more like a kitten. We don’t have a cat flap, so he meows at the front door to be let in and then walks to the back door to be let out. He likes to suckle on your hand and will do anything to do this and fall asleep. He sleeps on any clothing that is left out, even if it’s just a sock. He likes to curl up and sleep in funny places. Toothless is very affectionate with his family but is quite nervous around other people.”

Honey is a rescue cat from the RSPCA and came to Sarah’s family as a little kitten. Sarah shares, “My husband was returning to the RSPCA to pick up one of our other kittens after their injections. Honey curled up on my husband’s boot, and she had the biggest eyes. He just had to have her and brought her home for me.”

Honey is a very affectionate kitty. Sarah talks about her pet’s vibrant nature. She says, “Honey is the sweetest cat. She has a very funny meow and often gets called squeaky. She likes to sleep in between our pillows. Honey will often jump in on your spot on the sofa as you are about to sit down. Her head pops up every time she hears her treat bag opening. She sits in our drive when I take our children to school, waits for us to return, and follows us back inside.” Sarah adds, “Honey is my husband’s cat. She is there to snuggle up with him as soon as he sits in his chair. She is our only female cat but is the boss.”

Sarah fostered Ziggy with his four brothers and sisters when they were tiny kittens. Sarah says, “Ziggy is my daughter’s cat, and we all formed a bond with him from the start. He makes us laugh with his quirky habits every day and sleeps upside down. He likes to tap your leg when you walk past him. We knew from the start that Ziggy would be part of our family. We love his odd-coloured eyes.”

Sarah talks about her cat’s unique personality. She smiles and says, “Ziggy has a fantastic personality and still loves to play. He loves cuddles and having his ears rubbed. Sometimes he reminds me of a puppy in the way he follows us around bouncing all over the place. Ziggy likes to lie upside down on our bed and always chooses the smallest places to sleep. He likes to sit at my desk while I am working. However, Ziggy can be wary and nervous of new people but once settled, he is very friendly.”

After residing in Australia, Sarah was heading back to her homeland in Manchester to be closer to her family. She says, “We are heading to the UK to be with our family after not seeing them for three years. Leaving the cats behind was not an option as they are a part of our family.”

Sarah decided to partner with an international animal transport agency that would handle the travel arrangements on her behalf. Sarah reached out to Petraveller to organise her cats’ international journey. She says, “Moving your pets is a big deal and quite stressful, but I received a great response from Petraveller from the start. I was well-informed and felt reassured by Petraveller. I felt confident in their services and didn’t need to contact anyone else. My questions were answered swiftly.”

Toothless, Honey and Ziggy had a seamless flight and landed safely in Manchester. Thank you, Sarah, for reaching out to Petraveller to help relocate your furry family. We wish the Ingram family the best and lots of beautiful times with your family and adorable Toothless, Honey and Ziggy in the United Kingdom.
