Zipzipman, Demanding and Lee

Here’s the relocation story of two handsome Australian Kelpies, Zipzipman and Demanding, who are like chalk and cheese. Read to know more about Demanding and Zipzipman and their international pet relocation experience to Auckland, New Zealand.

Demanding is a lovely, handsome Australian Kelpie. He is very anxious, sensitive and can get aggressive when cornered or if someone is standing over the top of him. Pet mum Lee-Anne says, “Demanding hates people trying to make friends with him, he prefers to come to you.” She explains, “Demanding doesn’t growl, he snaps. But once he accepts you, you are fine. He is cheeky and lovable but just a bit flighty. Demanding is fearful but gentle when not stressed. He is quiet by nature as he’s a non-barker unless someone is around. He likes to chill and hates the thunder.”

Zipzipman, on the other hand, is totally the opposite. He is happy, crazy, and cuddly. He’s into everything and is always very busy. He is very kind, cheeky by nature and loves people and cuddles. Lee-Anne laughs and says, “Zipzipman is a total FOMO (fear of missing out) boy, he must know and be into everything. He is also a massive food thief, and even at the age of seven, he still chews everything in sight.” She adds, “Zipzipman loves Demanding but not in the same space. When in an unfamiliar environment, Demanding can turn on him.”

Lee-Anne was moving to Auckland, New Zealand. “Three years ago, we purchased a property in New Zealand. We were suppose to move last year, but our plans were shelved because of Covid. We are finally moving now and there’s no way we would go and not take the boys,” says Lee-Anne.

Lee-Anne decided to take help from an international pet transport agency to handle her pets’ journey to spare herself the complicated pet relocation process. She obtained quotes from four different companies. Lee-Anne says, “The amounts varied considerably. The price didn’t bother us, but the service did.”
