“Petraveller has been helpful and patient.”
Gorgeous felines Babou and Luna made their journey from Melbourne to Berlin with Petraveller. Pet mum Sonya explains how Babou and Luna became a part of her life and shares their international pet relocation story with us.
The Kelly family adopted Babou two years ago when they lost their seventeen-year-old cat due to health complications. Babou was a rescue cat from Peninsula Cat Rescue where Sonya has been a sponsor for several years. He has had a very tough start to life on the streets and was treated cruelly or hurt by someone. Sonya says, “It has taken us lots of time, love and patience to get him to where he is today. He is precious and special in many ways. Babou is the littlest man of the house with a beautiful but timid personality who loves his Mommy.”
Luna was also adopted from Peninsula Cat Rescue. Sonya says, “We wanted another cat to help Babou come out of his shell.” Luna is a brave and funny cat who loves attention. She chases mice and carries them around while vocalising. Sonya says, “We are so lucky to have her. She was one day close to being euthanised in a kill shelter in Swan Hill. As soon as we saw her, we fell in love and arranged to adopt her. Babou and Luna have a beautiful relationship. Even though Luna is several months younger, she really mothers him.”
Babou is a very shy and timid cat. Sonya says, “He still gets scared when new people come to the house, and it takes some time for him to warm up to strangers. He loves chasing cat treats and will grab your wrist and pull it down to him to take it from you.” Luna is a brave, funny, and a little bulldog in a cat.
Sonya and her family were relocating to Berlin, Germany, for a change of lifestyle and in search of new opportunities personally and professionally. She couldn’t imagine leaving their furry family members behind. Sonya decided to take the assistance of an accredited pet travel company to help with Babou and Luna’s pet relocation.
After reading all the positive reviews online, Sonya reached out to Petraveller. She says, “Petraveller has been helpful and patient with all the phone calls over the last few months. I felt comfortable with them, as they were knowledgeable and compassionate. I was confident they would provide the very best service for our babies.”
We are pleased to say that Babou and Luna made it to Berlin in good health and great spirits. It was a pleasure relocating these fur babies, and we wish them the best for the future.
