“I can’t imagine my life without Cassie and Nico.”

Sandra travelled with her adorable cats Cassie and Nico from Perth to Miami with Petraveller. She talks about her pets and why she used Petraveller for Cassie and Nico’s international pet relocation.

Cassie and Nico are indoor cats. Sandra says, “Recently, we started introducing Cassie and Nico to car travel and staying at my partner’s house with a backyard. Nico’s personality has changed, and he’s now more open to what’s out there in the world. They both are scared of travels and strangers, but Nico is always a good boy and never acts aggressively.”

Sandra adds, “Cassie and Nico need a little help to calm them down before and during travel.”

Cassie is aggressive and loud when scared. Sandra explains, “Cassie was abused as a kitten and has learnt the bad behaviour of defending herself by being aggressive. She panics more when she’s in a situation of not knowing what’s happening. She’s also very close-minded when it comes to human interactions. However, Cassie is very cuddly with me but not so much with strangers.”

Domestic Long Hair Nico is harmless when stressed. Sandra says, “Nico gets scared of strange sounds. He doesn’t like to be touched or hugged unless he asks for it himself.”

Sandra was moving to Miami. “Leaving Cassie and Nico in Perth was definitely an option I kept thinking of every day as I was scared of how they would take the travel and make it to the United States safely. However, I’ll be gone for about 18-20months, and I can’t imagine my life without them for so long.”
