“Petraveller is transparent and honest with costs.”
Domestic Long Hair cat Isabella recently travelled with Petraveller from Melbourne to Los Angeles despite having serious health conditions. Read to know more about Isabella and her international pet relocation story.
Isabella found a new family when Nicole adopted her as a small kitten in October 2001. Nicole says, “Isabella has remained with the family – me in particular ever since.”
Isabella is reasonably good with people but is naturally shy. Nicole laughs and says, “She’s very good at giving an unimpressed and I’m quite offended look to people! She generally meows when she wants something (usually food). If upset, she will growl and have a go at someone but is generally quite tolerable.” Nicole adds, “If Isabella is around unknown people, she generally tends to be on better behaviour.”
Isabella was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in November 2014, but her condition is quite stable now with regular medication and prescription food. Isabella also suffered from a sudden and unexplained paralysis on the left side which was treated successfully.
Nicole shares, “Isabella can get arthritis-like symptoms sometimes, and has a weakness on the left side of her body. She doesn’t groom herself as often as she used to on her weak side and gets little mats in her fur. We’ve been grooming her these days.”
Nicole adds, “She’s quite good at not overeating, but due to her condition, she sometimes experiences nausea and will throw up.”
Nicole was moving to Los Angeles, USA, to live with her fiancé who is a US Citizen. She says, “Leaving Isabella behind isn’t an option as she and I are too attached. My mother also believes that her health will deteriorate if I am not around.”
Nicole was very anxious and nervous about putting her cat through an international flight of that length. Nicole says, “I am quite scared of Isabella flying as I will not be with her during the flight. Her health is quite good, considering all the factors. Isabella has surprised me before as she’s braver than what she lets on.”
She searched for pet travel options and spoke to a few pet travel companies to assist her with the relocation before deciding on Petraveller. She says, “I had to choose between Petraveller and another company, and Petraveller won the battle. Petraveller is quite transparent and honest with costs. I am quite grateful for the advice given to me and the personalised experience provided.”
She adds, “The quote between the two companies was almost the same, but what sealed the deal was the transparency and the honesty. The other company was going to charge me the release of customs cost but Petraveller let me know that I can look after this myself.”
We are happy to say that Isabella reached her destination in good health and is getting used to the American way of life. Thank you, Nicole, for booking Petraveller for your beloved pet’s relocation. We wish you a good life ahead and lots of hugs to Isabella.
