“Lando is very playful and a bit of a rascal when he wants to be.”
This is the story of a Domestic Shorthair Lando who travelled from Melbourne to Singapore with Petraveller. Read to know more about Lando and his international pet travel experience.
Lando was abandoned by his original owner and left with Lucy’s brother when he was one year old. For a year or so, Lando moved between share houses with her brother, before the siblings decided he might like a more permanent home.
Lucy takes a trip down memory lane and recalls, “Lando came to stay with me on a trial basis, and the rest is history. He’s been a part of the family for about three years now. He was quite shy when we first got him but it didn’t take long for him to start following us around and become trusting of other people visiting the house too. He’s been both an indoor and outdoor cat in his time.” She smiles and adds, “Lando spent the last couple of years being an alley cat of North Melbourne, making friends and enemies with the neighbour's cats.”
Talking of Lando’s quirky nature, Lucy says, “Lando is very playful and a bit of a rascal when he wants to be. He loves a good snooze, preferably in any sunny spot he can find. He gets very excited for his breakfast and dinner, which is usually wet food, and picks at his kibble during the day - quite literally picking one bit out of the bowl at a time.”
She continues, “He likes to snuggle on our laps in the evening, often in the most awkward position. He also enjoys jumping on our shoulders to get our attention and proceeds to sit there and enjoy the warmth!”
Lucy usually encounters a couple of mad moments with Lando every day. For instance, Lucy says, “He bolts from one end of the house to the other and plays with his tunnel. Lando’s favourite pass times include jumping into and attacking new boxes, jumping onto high shelves, and chin scratches.” She laughs and adds, “He’s usually a pretty smart cat, but we have had to rescue him twice from the roof after he’s got stuck out in the rain and lost all memory of how he got there.”
Lucy relocated to Singapore for work, and Lando has been staying with Lucy’s parents. It was time for Lando to reunite with his pet mum Lucy in Singapore.
Lucy chose to hand over the job of relocating her pet to a reputed international pet relocation company. She says, “I got quotes from a few companies, but they were expensive when we re-quoted closer to Lando’s move date. Petraveller was recommended by friends in Singapore who recently moved their dog over from Australia.”
We are glad to say that Lando had an incredible journey and was a well-behaved lad during his long trip to Singapore. Thank you, Lucy, for trusting us with your adorable cat Lando. We wish you a wonderful life ahead and lots of kisses to handsome Lando!
