Luna and Kendra

Kendra and her beautiful Domestic Shorthair Luna travelled from Brisbane to Vancouver with Petraveller for a new adventure. Kendra talks about Luna’s significance in her life and what led her to Petraveller for her international pet relocation to Canada. 

Kendra brought home a beautiful Domestic Shorthair cat in October 2020 and named her Luna. Kendra shares, “We got Luna from a friend’s cousin. She’s white in colour, an indoor cat and very clean.”

Luna is a very playful kitty who loves a good run. Kendra says, “Luna is good when meeting new people; she’s always extremely curious and likes to smell everyone and everything that comes into the house. She doesn’t like loud noises like the vacuum, drills, or the noise of a can being sprayed. Luna isn’t very affectionate but wants affection on her own terms. Although she’s not affectionate, she purrs when we come home and always sleeps near us or on our things.”

After living in Australia for five years, Kendra was moving to Vancouver. “I’m Irish, and I love to travel. Canada was always on my bucket list, so a working holiday there seemed like the perfect option. I wouldn’t even consider leaving Luna behind, I can’t imagine not seeing her for two years! Luna is more like a child to us than an animal,” says Kendra.

Kendra decided to get help from an international pet travel agency to organise her pet’s journey from Brisbane to Vancouver. She emailed a few pet transport companies, but chose Petraveller after seeing their reviews. Kendra says, “Petraveller had great reviews, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
