Luna and Luise

Luise and her sweet Russian Blue Luna recently travelled from Brisbane to Frankfurt with Petraveller. Luise talks about Luna’s personality and explains why she chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

Luise became a pet mum to Luna when she adopted her from the RSPCA in Darwin, NT in November 2013. Luise says, “Luna was only seven weeks old and has been with me ever since.” In 2016, Luna had her first flight experience when Luise moved with Luna to Brisbane. “She was not raved about it, but she loved her new outdoor garden and trees, which she frequently loved to climb,” says Luise.

When Luise adopted Luna, the RSPCA staff informed Luise that Luna was found abandoned in the streets when she was only a few weeks old. This experience has made her a frightened little kitty cat, at least with most people. Luise says fondly, “However, she is very affectionate and playful with me and brings a smile to my face every day. Her scared personality leads on occasion to Luna being attacked by other cats, as she doesn’t know how to fight back, but only runs away.”

Luna is a very vocal and interactive cat. Luise laughs and says, “If she believes I sleep too long, she will meow in my face and tap me on the forehead until I get up. She runs around the house and in the garden and plays hide and seek with me.”

Luise adds, “When I’m back home from work, she greets me at the door every day. She throws herself on her back and wiggles from side to side, wanting a belly rub.”

Luise was relocating to Frankfurt, Germany, due to work and personal reasons. She says, “Leaving Luna behind was never an option.”
