Maple, Mo and Divya

Gorgeous Border Collie Maple and Domestic Long Hair Mo were given a new lease of life when Divya adopted them and took them home forever. Pet mum Divya talks about Maple and Mo and why she chose Petraveller for their international pet transport to Ottawa.

Maple came into Divya’s life about three years ago. Divya says, “She was adopted from another family who couldn’t look after her as she was too energetic for them. Since then, she has been a part of our family.”

Mo joined Divya’s family about a year and a half ago. Divya recalls, “Mo was rehomed a few times before finding his forever home with us. He was up for adoption at the clinic I work at, and from the first time I saw him, I knew I had to take him home.”

Maple is a friendly and affectionate dog. She loves belly rubs and cuddles. “Maple loves to play fetch and is obsessed with the ball and frisbee. She loves to run and is very energetic,” says Divya.

Speaking about Mo’s nature, Divya smiles and shares, “He is a very affectionate cat who loves food and attention. He is quite a character, Mo knows the sound of my partner’s motorbike, and if he is outside and hears him heading up the street, he runs home alongside to greet him at home.” 

Divya was heading back home to Ottawa, Canada, to be closer to her family. She says, “Leaving our pets behind was never an option as they are our family.”

Relocating a pet across the world is a complex task that involves documentation, health tests, vaccinations and more.
