Molly and Carissa

It was a classic case of love at first sight for Carissa when she met her beautiful cat, Molly. Read to know more about charming Molly and her international pet relocation story from Sydney to Singapore.

Molly became part of Carissa’s family in December 2020. Carissa shares, “My partner has grown up with three cats in his family and naturally wanted to have one of our own. So, we started looking on Gumtree and found Molly! It was love at first sight, and when we visited her for the first time Molly stole our hearts with her friendly personality and cuteness. We knew right there and then that we had to take her home with us. It’s been an enjoyable journey watching her grow and play since then. Molly is an integral part of our lives; we treat her like a queen at home and do her bidding.”

Molly is a very curious cat. She likes to go around sniffing things and to rub her cheeks against all kinds of surfaces like walls, paper bags, doors, and more! Carissa says, “Molly loves chilling on our balcony. She sits next to the glass surface and looks out at cars driving by and birds flying around. But she’s a bit of a scaredy-cat, and sometimes gets scared by the bird’s chirping and runs back into the apartment.”

Carissa continues, “Molly loves napping on our thick blankets and rolls herself up into a ball on our bed every afternoon. In the mornings, she comes to my bedside table and reaches up for a stretch, then meows at me to feed her breakfast. Molly is obsessed with water. She likes to sit next to the basin in the kitchen and watch the tap running. She also loves to sit next to the drain in the shower cubicle and watch the water trickle down. She’s quirky but cute, like a beloved grandma. Molly is very chill most of the time she has playful spurts, usually at night.”

Carissa was heading back to her hometown in Singapore to be closer to family. “Covid has made us reassess our priorities,” says Carissa.
