Petraveller relocated cute Domestic Medium Hair Moon to his new home in Paris. Pet parent Justine talks about Moon’s personality and why she used Petraveller for his international pet travel to France.

Justine adopted Moon from the RSPCA in Darwin when he was three months old in 2020 and made him a part of her family. Moon is extremely social with humans and always wants attention and cuddles. He loves to play but also loves his nap time in the afternoon. 

Justine shares, “Six months ago, I decided to find a new family for Moon as my job involved me flying in and out every two and a half weeks. It became hard for him, as he had to be away in a cattery or with friends when I was at work.”

She continues, “I found Moon the best family I could. After a long reflection, I decided that I couldn’t be selfish thinking about myself and not considering his sadness. But they asked me to find another solution as they already had another cat and Moon and their cat were still fighting after months. My mom was thinking about having another cat after ours passed away three years ago. She was a bit concerned about the long flight for Moon and the prices but now understands my reasons after the failure with the family I found him. I’ve already ordered hundreds of toys and everything Moon will need. He will be loved as much as I love him. It’s been a hard and stressful decision for me.”

Justine says, “Moon is the best cat I could dream of. He’s been like my son, and that’s why I want the best for him and to keep seeing him and be in his life.”

Moon likes to find the weirdest spots to hide. Justine recalls an incident, “While we were in Darwin, we had a small house, and Moon wouldn’t go outside as my landlord had dogs. Once, I went looking for him and calling him for half an hour, all stressed out and checking all the spots where I thought he could hide. Finally, after a quick dinner, I went to put some stuff in the dishwasher and found Moon sitting in the dishwasher.”

Moon is a calm kitty. Justine says, “He isn’t a stressed cat, and is alright when going to the vet. When we take Moon on holidays or weekends away, he chooses to stay in his crate or gets out to stay free in the car. He has the habit of travelling for hours and has always been alright. He’ll stay calm and easily fall asleep.”
