Pet parent Michael recently moved back to his hometown Calgary to be close to his family and the Canadian Rocky Mountains. He used Petraveller to relocate his gorgeous Domestic Shorthair Murphy from Melbourne to Calgary. Michael talks about his pet’s heart-warming personality and explains why he employed Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

Michael adopted Domestic Shorthair Murphy from the RSPCA in December 2019 when Murphy was seven months old.

Michael talks about his cat’s timid personality. He says, “Murphy is very shy around strangers and is easily frightened by other animals and birds. But he is very affectionate towards my wife and me.” He laughs and adds, “Murphy’s nickname is Scooter because he likes to sprint at high speeds, especially around strangers!”

The Knopp family were moving to Calgary, Canada. Michael says, “I have recently retired, and after great twenty-five years in this wonderful country, it’s time to return home to be close with ageing family and friends and to be close to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, which I spend a lot of time in. Leaving Murphy behind was not an option.”

Michael started searching for pet travel options to move his cat to Calgary. Moving a pet from one country to another is exceptionally challenging due to the many rules and regulations.
