Sobotka and Sam

“Sobotka is my best pal.”

Sam adopted cute Domestic Shorthair cat Sobotka and made him a part of his family. Sam talks about Sobotka’s unique personality and shares his international pet travel experience with Petraveller.

Sobotka was two years old when Sam adopted him from Pet Barn in Fountain Gate in 2017. Sam says affectionately, “Sobotka has been my best pal ever since.”

Talking about Sobotka’s nature, Sam shares, “Sobotka has a lot of energy for playing and exploring during the day. He likes to be in the same room as me but is aware of his surroundings and is not aloof. Sobotka is an only cat and he prefers it that way. He gets stressed when we take him to the vet but he is resilient and bounces back quickly.”

Sam was moving to Budapest, Hungary. He says, “I’m travelling to study and live with my girlfriend in Romania. We are looking to settle down and start a new life there. Sobotka is part of the family and has to come along, especially since the rest of my family in Australia already have pets, and I don’t think he would have gotten along with them.”

Sam started looking into pet travel options to relocate his pet to Budapest. During his search, Sam reached out to several pet travel companies. Sam says, “Two of the pet travel companies I spoke to were extremely expensive and the third company, was cheaper but seemed less professional. I went with Petraveller because they were professional, reasonably priced, and had good reviews.
