“Byron is a sweet and loveable cat.”
Though Pet travel during COVID-19 times is challenging, Petraveller relocated Domestic Shorthair kitty Byron from Sydney to Milan. Read to know more about Byron and his pet relocation story.
Byron became a part of the Stroppiana family three years ago. Enrica recalls, “After asking for a cat for a long time, my husband brought him home on Christmas as a gift for me. He was so small and cute that I immediately fell in love with him.”
Enrica has always been a cat lover. She smiles and says, “I think I understand them. Byron is a very sweet and lovable cat, and it was super easy for us to love him since day one. We got along very well since the first minute.”
She continues, “Byron likes other cats. We looked after a male cat first and a female later, as a favour for some friends that were going on a holiday for a while. Byron was always the one who tried to become friends with them. Even if at first, they were keeping distance he didn’t give up until they got close. In the end, they had lots of fun together, and it was super fun to see them playing together!”
Talking about Byron’s fear, Enrica shares, “He is a bit scared of other people, other than my husband and me. He never gets aggressive with anybody, he just tends to hide when he is scared.”
Byron doesn’t like loud noises, he likes when people talk to him calmly and quietly, as it makes him feel safe. Enrica says with a touch of concern, “Byron doesn’t like the pet carrier at all, he usually cries and bites the crate when we have to bring him to the vet. I’m a bit concerned about this, but I know there is no other way. Also, he doesn’t meow, he only makes a few sounds but not a proper meow.”
After living in Sydney, Australia, the Stroppiana family were moving back home to Milan, Italy to be with family. “Leaving Byron behind was never an option for us, he is very much part of the family, and I could never imagine myself going anywhere without him,” says Enrica.
Enrica began her due diligence and started looking for a reputed international pet travel company to relocate her pet to Italy. She contacted another company before Petraveller but they were not able to move Byron to Italy due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Enrica says, “When I contacted Petraveller, I felt safe since the first call with them. They told me that despite the difficult time we are going through, they would do everything they could to get Byron to Italy as soon as possible. This is the reason why I decided to stick with Petraveller.”
We are happy to say that despite the worldwide pandemic, Byron reached his destination safely. Thank you, Enrica, for your confidence in Petraveller for your pet's relocation. We wish you lots of happiness and a fun time with Byron in Italy.
