Sunshine, Apache and Susanne

“Sunshine and Apache are our babies.”

Petraveller helped pet parent Susanne relocate her gorgeous Sphynx kitties, Sunshine and Apache, from Sydney to Stockholm. Susanne talks about her pets and tells us why she wanted Petraveller to organise Sunshine and Apache’s international pet travel to Sweden.

The Ihalainen family brought home lovely Sphynx kitten Sunshine in 2010. Later in the same year, they brought home another Sphynx kitten, Apache, as a companion for Sunshine. Susanne says, “Sunshine and Apache have been with us since then. They spent one year with us in London in 2015 and then flew with us to Australia in 2016. After five years, they are going back home to Stockholm, Sweden, with us.”

Pet mum Susanne describes Sunshine as a very calm and relaxed kitty. She has a lighter coloured skin tone. Susanne says, “Sunshine is shy and a little stubborn, but when she gets confidence, she is very social. She is very cautious towards strangers and is very protective of her little brother cat Apache.”

On the other hand, Apache is lively and curious. Apache has a darker skin tone. Susanne says fondly, “Apache is very affectionate, loves to cuddle and loves attention. He is not afraid of new people. However, if there is a new situation, Apache likes to lean on his sister Sunshine since she is calmer of the two.” Susanne continues, “Apache gets along very well with his sister Sunshine. But when he’s tired or bored, he chases her around. Thus, Sunshine and Apache don’t share a crate.”

The Ihalainen family was moving back home to Stockholm, Sweden. “Sunshine and Apache have moved with us to Australia in 2016 and will move back with us to Sweden when we have finished our posting in Canberra,” says Susanne.

Susanne decided to get help from an experienced international pet relocation company, who are experts in relocating pets worldwide. Susanne says, “Since Sunshine and Apache don’t have fur, it’s important that they are not exposed to cold weather or extreme sun. We got confidence in Petraveller when we followed them on Facebook.”
