Domestic Shorthair Yomi got a forever home when Jessica adopted her from the AWQLD shelter. Jessica chats about Yomi and explains why she chose Petraveller for Yomi’s international pet transport to New York. 

Jessica adopted Yomi from the AWQLD shelter when Yomi was four months old and made her a part of her life. Jessica shares, “Yomi had a history of cat flu whilst at the shelter, which was cleared before bringing her home. Over the years, she has been a relatively healthy cat with no known health issues, just mild stomach upset if not given the right food.”

Discussing Yomi’s personality, Jessica says, “Yomi has a fun and playful personality. She is very gentle and does not bite or scratch. Yomi is a sweet cat but gets stressed when in a crate during travel in the car. She fights to get into the carrier. After a travel session, it is normal for Yomi not to want to eat for a couple of days. Yomi is also not very good with other cats.”

Jessica was relocating to New York for work and was taking Yomi with her. She says, “I’m a final year vet student and upon graduation will start work in New York City long term.”
