Zazzles and Marlies

“Zazzles is a loving companion.”

It was a case of love at first sight for Marlies and her family when they brought home adorable Domestic Shorthair Zazzles. Read more about charming Zazzles and his international pet relocation story from Brisbane to Amsterdam.

Marlies and her family saw Zazzles at the RSPCA in Dakabin in August 2018 and fell in love with him immediately. Marlies smiles as she recalls, “We took Zazzles out of the cage, and he immediately snuggled up. The girls’ adoptive grandfather, who was visiting from Tasmania at the time, took them to the pet shop to buy a travel crate and other cat accessories and then to the RSPCA to pick up Zazzles. Zazzles is my daughter Lindsey’s baby, and he is a loving companion and great support to her.”

Marlies talks about Zazzles’ sweet nature. She says, “Zazzles is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle up on your lap or stretch out on his back on the bed to get a nice belly rub. He loves company and follows us around the house. Zazzles loves food. While cooking dinner, he begs for a piece of grated cheese and has a real taste for bread too.”

Marlies shares an amusing incident, “One day we came home to find an empty cheese roll bag surrounded by crumbs on the lounge room floor. Zazzles had eaten an entire cheese roll! We found him stretched out on the back of one of the reclining chairs in a food coma.”

Zazzles was travelling to Amsterdam to be closer to Lindsey. Marlies says, “My daughter Lindsey has moved to the Netherlands for study and work. Zazzles is her best friend and soulmate, and she would never dream of leaving him behind. He has been her support in tough times, and she can’t wait to be reunited with him in Amsterdam.”

Marlies decided to get help from professional pet transporters for Zazzles’ travel to Europe. She approached a few other pet transport companies in Australia before choosing Petraveller. Marlies says, “The lack of information and communication by other companies turned us off using them. We are pleased about our communications with Petraveller, and every team member has been very helpful and reassuring. Petraveller provided us with all the information we wanted. We felt Zazzles was in good hands with Petraveller.”
