Boston city law states that all pet dogs must have a pet license that is renewed annually. Dogs need to be vaccinated against rabies and other common canine diseases in order to apply for a license.

Living in Boston: A Canine Perspective
Boston is a pet-friendly city and dogs in Boston have plenty of pet-friendly activities to choose from. As a dog living my best life in Boston, some of my favourite things to do here are visiting pet-friendly cafés and restaurants with my pet parent. I also love chasing the ball at Boston’s many dog-friendly parks and gardens.
Boston Commons is, perhaps, the most famous park in the city. Located in downtown Boston, this public park is believed to be one of the oldest urban parks in the United States. What I love most in this sprawling park is the fact that dogs on a lead are welcome all over the park. I love socialising with other dogs and playing fetch at the designated leash-free areas in the park.
